日本語で「こころ」と訳す英語は複数あり、

はいずれも「こころ」と和訳できる場面があります。
 
つまり日本語にしてしまうと違いがわかりにくくなってしまいます。
 
これらの中で明らかに違う意味を持つのが mind です。
 
mindは理性を司り、「知力」「知性」の意味を持っており、対義語は heart です。

というと、「彼は頭脳明晰だ」という意味で、「人間性が良い」ではありません。
 
ここでのgoodは機能的に「良い」のであり、道徳的な含みはありません。そして単に頭脳だけではなく、判断力、健全さ全てが”a good man”に込められています。

Websterによると、spiritは身体に生気を与える何かであり、訳としては「精神」や「霊」も当たります。対義語は body です。
