”Bigger” is the comparative form of ”big”.

comparable
1 similar; that can be compared; EQUIVALENT
 
A comparable car would cost far more abroad.
 
2 deserving to be compared
 
His poetry isn’t bad, but it’s hardly comparable with Shakespeare’s！


英語類義語活用辞典の解説

comparative、comparableのいずれもcomparisonを中心とした言葉ですが、意味は違いがあります。
 
comparativeはある標準が頭の中にあり、それと比較することを意味します。
 
「どちらかというと」という感じで言葉を濁し、あからさまな比較を避ける意図があります。
 
In those days, we were living in comparative poverty.
（当時私たちはやや貧乏な暮らしをしていた）
 
上の例文のcomparativeはrelativeと交換可能です。極端な貧乏ではなく、大方の基準からすると貧乏、というわけです。
 
次のような用法もあります。
 
Comparatively speaking, women are better linguists than men.
（比較的女性は男性より語学に優れている）
 
comparableは類語を考えると、その性質がはっきりします。最も近いのはparallelとequivalentであり、つまり「匹敵するもの」のことです。
 
General office workers in America get paid for better than their comparable numbers in any other part of the world.
（アメリカの一般事務員は、世界のどの国の事務員よりも給料がよい）
 
このtheir comparable numbersは、彼らに相当する職業の人たち、つまりtheir counterpartsのことです。
