stance は posture よりも具体的な姿勢、特にゴルファーや野球のバッターが球を打つ時の足の状態を指します。
 
posture はスポーツにはあまり使わず、主として画家や彫刻家がモデルに求めるポーズのことです。

posture は体の姿勢ではなく、比喩的に使われることもあります。その場合も日本語で「姿勢」と訳されます。
