努力・野心などの到達点（達成したら努力をやめるという含意がある）
 
aim
明確な努力目標。
 
objective
達成することのできる具体的な目的。

努力・行為・希望などに向けられる目標。

あることをしようとする気持ち。
 
intent
しようと考えていること（intentionよりも熟慮の意味が強い）。
 
purpose
明確な決意を伴った目的。

goal

英語類義語活用辞典の解説

この4語はいずれも目的意識を持っている点で共通していますが、目的の対象やそれを目指す動機などに違いがあります。
 
なので文脈によっては入れ替えできないケースもあります。
 
goalもtargetも、個人的に追及するものを対象とします。
 
goalは通常、達成までの道のりは長く、全身全霊を傾ける必要のあるものです。個人の主観的価値によるので、多くの場合希望・願望の形をとり、細かい具体性があるのはまれです。

aimは方向感覚に重点があります。
 
Her aim was to study in an American college, her whole efforts were directed towards it from the first day in highschool.
（彼女の目的はアメリカへの大学留学だった。高校生活の初日から彼女はこの目的に向けて全力を傾けた）
 
objectiveは上の三つに比べて少しリラックスした、どちらかといえば暢気な目的意識です。
