optionとchoiceの違いは、optionを「決定権（もしくは選択権）」、choiceを「決定（もくしは選択）」と訳するとわかりやすくなります。
There is no choice between right and wrong.
（正しいことと悪いことのどちらかを選ぶとなると、選択の余地はない）
There is no such thing as option for right and wrong.
（正しいことと悪いことのどちらかを選ぶ権利は誰にもない）
to have an option for は、売買契約で使われるフレーズで、ある品物を一定の期間内は合意の値段で買う権利をもらうことです。
Can I have an option for this year’s Cardin street clothes?
（今年のカルダンの街着デザインの契約権を頂けますか）
to have an option for は選ぶ自由権を持つことで、欲しいものが無ければ選ばない権利も含まれています。形容詞にするとoptionalです。
option は privilege（特権）と入れ替え可能ですが、choiceにはできません。
Latin is optional in our college.
（私たちの大学ではラテン語は選択科目です）
この対義語の「必修科目」は complusory または madatory になります。
Latin is not optional but compulsory (mandatory) if your major is literature.
（文学専攻なら、ラテン語は選択科目ではなく必修科目です）
